Biography

Martin has loved the arts since his childhood. His insatiable thirst for knowledge led him to theatre school, as well as to singing, piano, dance and diction studies, both in English and in French. On stage and in front of the camera, he dedicates himself to the truest interpretation, digging deep into his characters’ emotions, thoughts and actions. In fact, in 1992, he was awarded the Robertson Davies Drama Award for his “outstanding onstage performance” as Amadeus, in Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus.

Since 1995, Martin has been dedicating himself mostly to voice work. Official announcer for a number of ad campaigns, he also dubs numerous foreign actors (Colin Farrell, James Franco, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jude Law, Ryan Philippe, Josh Hartnett, Ben Foster…). On top of being a sought after voice talent for feature films, television series and documentary narrations, Martin has a great time bringing life to countless cartoon characters (The Simpsons, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Turbo, The Croods, The Lion King, The Incredibles, Happy Feet, Clone Wars, …).
